NZD/USD eyes May lows

FXStreet (Córdoba) - NZD/USD rose during the Asian session on the back of economic data from New Zealand but failed to hold to gains and resumed the decline. Recently printed a fresh weekly low at 0.7340.

NZD/USD retreats from 0.7445

A stronger US dollar across the board pushed NZD/USD to the downside since European hours. Also the kiwi failed to recover amid a decline in dairy prices with the GDT Index down 2.2% after today’s auction.

Currently NZD/USD trades at 0.7355, down 0.45% for the day. The pair is losing ground for the third day in a row as it continues to approach to the
next key support located around the 0.7230 area (May 11, 12, 13 low). A break lower, would put the price at 2-month lows.
