Canada: Wholesale sales increased 0.7% in June

 

Canada’s wholesale sales rose for a third consecutive month, up 0.7% in June to a seasonally adjusted CAD 56.42 billion , Statistics Canada said Monday.

The increase came in well above the 0.1% gain expected by analysts. May's reading was upwardly revised to 1.9% versus the earlier 1.8% estimate.

In volume terms, wholesale sales rose 0.6% from May to June. In the second quarter, wholesale sales in current dollars grew 0.6%, while those in constant dollars advanced 1.1%.
